Toni Stone

Toni Stone played second base for the Indianapolis Clowns in 1953. She was signed as a gate attraction, but she also became the first woman to play in the Negro American League. In 1954, the Indians traded Stone to the Kansas City Monarchs. In 1993, she was inducted into the Women’s Sports Hall of Fame.
