This is another residential area, two blocks east and two blocks south of 5th Avenue and Broadway, only 2.5 years after the beginning of the construction of Gary. Note again that most of the lots were occupied by two-story houses with front porches. A couple of lots on the right (west) side of the street don’t have anything more than foundations at most, but otherwise the block is well filled out by homes. Finally, note that there are electrical lines and poles, and street lights, in this picture.
