Locust Grove

George Rogers Clark’s sister, Lucy Croghan, her husband, family members, and those they enslaved lived across the river from Clark in beautiful Locust Grove. General Clark and many of those who served him moved to Locust Grove in 1809, after Clark fell into the fireplace during a stroke, suffering disabling wounds.
