In this 1922 photo, the Ohio River Falls look much as they did when visitors viewed them from George Rogers Clark’s property over 100 years earlier. The Falls have since been tamed by the McAlpine dam, allowing for safer river travel, but the fossil-rich limestone at the edge of the river remains unchanged to this day.
