Elwood Haynes Home

Haynes built a new home in 1916 on the eastern edge of Highland Park, and that same year ran unsuccessfully for the US Senate as a prohibitionist. The basement of the home was said to be equipped as a laboratory for his work in metallurgy, although he also did lab work in a house across the street.
