An early lithograph of the expansive Diamond Plate Glass Company, from a booklet published by the Kokomo Enterprise Company. Diamond Plate was established by a group of Ohio investors led by Colonel A. L Conger and Monroe Seiberling. It was one of several enterprises they initiated in the region which relied on a steady source of inexpensive energy from the natural gas field and direct access to railroads, illustrated by the train pulling away here.
