Ohio Falls Iron Works

One of the worst episodes of labor strife occurred at the Ohio Falls Iron Works, one of the largest iron manufacturers in the West. When managers attempted to impose a 20 percent wage cut in 1874, workers struck, prompting a standoff that lasted for several months.
